We started with the simple idea of bringing the best ingredients possible together to produce delicious shareable food. We believe breaking bread together nourishes your mind, body and soul, and that the bread you break matters.

We’re a cottage bakery based in Palos Verdes California that aims to produce the very best breads, sweet treats, and special occasion indulgences for you and yours. It is our hope that our food is the backdrop to the moments of your life - family meals, holidays, celebrations - that connect, enrich, define, and nourish.

Our Bread
Our signature country loaf, like all our breads, is baked fresh daily with organic, sustainably farmed whole grains, filtered water, and sea salt.  A two and a half day process of fermenting and development creates incredibly nuanced flavor and a tender, open crumb.  The M&K country loaf is the one that kicked this little bakery into high gear and once you've tried it you'll know why.
Custom Cakes
Way back before Madeline & Kae there was a stay at home mom-of-three-under-two who needed a creative outlet. Â When friends started noticing her baked goods, word got around and custom celebration cakes were - and still are - one of the most delightful parts of this business.

We love partying.  And we love to create food that's as memorable as your life's events.  From customized desserts to holiday specialities to relaxed dinner parties and gift hamper deliveries, we are here to make your events every bit as remarkable as you!
